The first thing Hannah and Calin did when we met up at Frankie & Dom's on Mercer Island to start off their engagement session was order the same drink. And it wasn't like it was a vanilla latte or a tall drip either. They each ordered a grande americano with white chocolate and no room. Seriously.
I made a quick joke about how much alike they were and Hannah laughed and said, "Really, you have no idea, it's crazy. We are like the same person." Since I know Hannah better than I know Calin I can only deduce that this is a very good thing.
When we headed over to Luther Burbank Park the fog and the sun were in a beautiful ebb & flow making the light over Lake Washington absolutely magical and providing an extra pop of color for the changing fall foliage. There was no pretentiousness to the two of them, they were just grateful to be together, holding hands, looking at each other face to face and stealing kisses when they could. Right now Calin lives across the country as he trains for his service in the Air Force and while Skype fills a void there is no substitute for being the arms of the one you love.
On this gorgeous fall day they took no substitutes, took their time, laughed a lot and made my job easy.
Honestly, these two laughed the whole morning, it was amazing!
Hannah and Calin's January wedding is travel themed to reflect their hopes of going overseas sometime during Calin's military service.
Thank you both for spending some of your precious time together with me. I am so excited for January!
