Merry Christmas from Northern Minnesota! Thanks to a blizzard and its 15 inches of new snow we have found ourselves holed up indoors and with plenty of time for editing photos. Here is a sneak preview of our friends Paul and Rachel Couleur on their wedding day.

I had a ton of fun with Kat and Mike celebrating their engagement on a colder than it looked fall day. We had some fun ideas and places picked out and they are without a doubt the only couple I know who didn't only let me take pictures in beautiful Rosehill Cemetery but they suggested it! They are an awesome couple and Noah and I wish them all the best!

Marcio Feitosa is a mult-time world Jiu-Jitsu champion. He is one of the best Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling competitors on the planet but he is also approachable, humble, and an excellent instructor; truly an all around really nice guy. It was a pleasure to take pictures of the seminar. I'll have about 100 images from the class up on our flickr site (follow the link on the right.) I had the amazing opportunity to spend the afternoon with Kris, Lindsey and Grady on what seemed like the last day with leaves still on the trees here in Chicago. They couldn't have picked a more beautiful spot than the Lincoln Park Conservatory. Granted, it didn't hurt that they are a remarkably beautiful family!

Ezra is a rockstar... He loves the camera

I had the incredible joy of photographing my good friend Jayme in the last week of her pregnancy as her little tike Marshall decided to show up a month month early. It was wonderful to see her come alive in front of the camera!











I am excited to soon photograph her whole family, Marshall is adorable! Congratulations to Jayme and Jeremy.

These three brothers are a handful that's for sure! I have no idea how their mom Kelly keeps up with them so well but one afternoon we decided to snap some shots of them in their element. It was rainy outside but that didn't stop us from having a great time inside!

In May we had the distinct pleasure of heading home to Oregon to see our family and friends there. It was lovely. People keep telling me the weather in Oregon is always raining and dreary and never warm at the coast, never.

Apparently I have brought good weather on my four excursions to the Pacific NorthWest. It was sunny and in the 90s inland and in the 70s by the coast, the ocean agrees with me. So here are some photos of different excursions we had with family and friends whom we hope to see again very soon.
